Jill Ballinger

What do you do at Valve+Meter?

I perform the daily and monthly accounting activities for the company. I  review, record and report the inflow and outflow of company funds. The goal is to ensure that accounting procedures facilitate cost control and provide support for informed business decisions.

Tell us about your background and experience

I have a BS in accounting and have worked in the field for a large manufacturing plant for 30+ years and later for small technology companies. My experience ranges from daily accounting activities to internal financial statements, forecasting, financial planning and cost analysis of product lines.

What is it about you that makes you uniquely positioned to excel in your role?

I have an overall wide range of accounting experience in both small and large companies. This provides me with the range of knowledge that’s needed to take a company from small to large.

What are some of your interests and hobbies outside of work?

I am active in my church and serve on the stewardship board and participate in women’s bible study and ministries. My favorite leisure activities are golf and walking for exercise.

What is one thing most people don’t know about you or would be surprised to learn?

I love to play golf and have been lucky enough to have scored three holes in one. The odds of an amateur golfer making a hole in one are 12,500 to 1. Knowing this statistic only confirms that I am a numbers person.
