What do you do at Valve+Meter?
As a Demand Generation Specialist, I work alongside a talented team of marketers to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients. I work to foster an atmosphere of collaboration and diligence, develop effective outreach strategies, and pave the way for sustainable client growth and profitability.
Tell us about your background and experience
Prior to Valve + Meter, I spent 10 years working in retail management and business analytics. During this time I honed my interpersonal skills, learned to extract valuable knowledge from data and how to apply that knowledge to real world scenarios. Experiencing both sides of the business has proven to be very beneficial, as I feel better equipped to always go the extra mile for my clients. I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in General Studies and minors in Business and History.
What is it about you that makes you uniquely positioned to excel in your role?
My very first employer introduced me to a book called The Go-Getter. While the book’s lessons were fairly simple, they have always proven to be applicable and have served me extremely well throughout my professional career. This book was instrumental in creating a mentality in which I always strive to go above and beyond in everything I do, think outside the box and create solutions.
What are some of your interests and hobbies outside of work?
Outside of the office, I enjoy hiking, camping and going on adventures with my dog Porter. A bucket-list goal is to complete the Appalachian Trail one day, hopefully with Porter in tow. I am also an avid sports fan, with aspirations to eventually make it to every MLB stadium.
What is one thing most people don’t know about you or would be surprised to learn?
I have been playing in a fantasy baseball league with my family for the past 20 years. So for about 3⁄4 of every year, it’s safe to say I’m probably thinking about baseball stats.
