What do you do at Valve+Meter?

In my role, I connect with business leaders who might be interested in the type of transformational growth we deliver. I seek to develop an open and honest relationship with those I serve to help them grow their business.

What is your background and experience? What is your background and experience?

Prior to my tenure with Valve+Meter I worked extensively with education non-profits as an administrator responsible for strategic growth. With each role, I was responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships to advance the mission of the organizations I served.

I am an alum of Taylor University (Upland, IN). In 2016, I received my Master’s of Education (M.Ed) in Educational Leadership and Administration from Indiana University (Bloomington, IN).

What is it about you that makes you uniquely positioned to excel in your role?

I tend to have a natural ability to discover uniqueness or hidden opportunities within a business or individual with a conversation. This helps me understand the needs of a potential partner and determine whether or not we might be able to help. I get energized by complex challenges and the potential for life-changing solutions.

What are some of your interests and hobbies outside of work?

I live in Bloomington, IN with my wife, Julie, and our three children: Reade, Sylvie and Ellerie. We enjoy hiking and exploring the areas around Bloomington – and the food, can’t forget about the food!  I also mountain bike just about every chance I get.

For the past several years, I have served on the board of ACE Preparatory Academy Charter School, a grade K-5 charter school for the city of Indianapolis.  I am also a member of a local Truth@Work roundtable.

What is one thing that most people don’t know about you or would be surprised to learn?

Growing up I was heavily involved with 4-H and FFA. In my 10 years as a 4-Her I did everything from show pigs to photography. I even won Grand Champion in the Foods project two years in a row. One year for an apple tart and the second year for a business I developed selling homemade beef jerky.
