I’m a Business Strategist at Valve+Meter. I work primarily on the ThinkFirst team, providing recommendations and insights for clients based on research and testing. I also work to assist the Marketing Performance Managers as they onboard the clients from the ThinkFirst process.
I graduated from Olivet Nazarene University with a Marketing degree. My experience ranges from working to produce radio spots to planning communication efforts for large-scale, international events. I have experience in business development, nonprofit, experiential marketing, market research and strategy.
I think one of the main reasons I’m able to excel in my role is the fact that I’m able to pick up skills quickly. I’m not stuck in my ways – I’m malleable, and like to think I have the ability to take on whatever role I need to within Valve+Meter, which allows me the ability to work across multiple teams. This also translates to the open-mindedness about testing new strategies for our clients to determine what will work best for their businesses. And I love learning – whether it be about our clients or about new technologies that we can leverage – I strive to learn something new every day.
Well, considering I’m pretty new to Indianapolis, my primary interest right now is learning how to get places without using my GPS. Other than that, I’m involved in EDGE Mentoring, and am slowly but surely looking for opportunities to get involved in my church and other organizations in the area. Since I’m from Michigan, I try to make a trip up every few months to see my family and friends. And I’m hoping to roadtrip to some baseball parks since Indy is such a central location!
If I won the lottery tomorrow, I would buy about 100 plane tickets and Airbnb’s around the world. Grab a few of my friends, and leave for a year long trip. And then when I got home, I would buy a golden retriever.
